Classroom Jobs

This is our second week of our classroom jobs, and the kindergarteners are doing fantastic work!

Each Monday during snack, we change our jobs for the week. Seven friends have a job and seven friends are "on vacation." We have jobs every other week.  Everyone will have a chance to try each job this year!

Our line leader leads us to where we need to go and opens the door for us.

Our caboose is the last in line, closes the door when we leave and carries the lunch bucket to lunch for us.

The messenger is responsible for delivering or picking up materials around the school.

The electrician is the one who turns our lights on and off during times we use the interactive projector and during quiet time.

When the phone rings and I am not able to answer the phone, the operator answers and takes a message.

We have 3 live plants in our room - Gingerbread, Fuzzy and Spike. The gardener is responsible for watering them each morning. We all practiced counting to five as we water so that we give the plants the right amount.

Our classroom door is always locked. The doorman (or lady) opens the door when someone knocks.

You can talk to your children about what jobs they would like to try or have already had. So far, they have all done wonderful work and were paid in pompoms!
