This is a gentle reminder that tomorrow, Friday, May 26, Harlan will be holding a Book Swap. Mrs. Stayer has invited the children to bring a book from home that they would like to donate in exchange for book donated by another Harlan student! Our class will be visiting the Book Swap at 2:45 tomorrow afternoon.

Dear Helper Team Members,
We have received an abundance of books to add to our class libraries, and we need some help, please! We would like to set up a work space in the hall on June 1 and June 2, where parents can look up levels on the computer, label books, and group them by class. We are so excited to get these books into our students' hands! These books will benefit all of our first graders at Harlan.

We have two fun 1st Grade events coming up and we wanted you to save the dates. More information will come home soon…but here are the events:
June 13 Field Trip to the Troy Historic Village 10:00-1:30. We can take 5 chaperones per class.
June 14 End of Year Party at the Outdoor Classroom at Harlan 10:30-12:00. Room parents will be sending out more information about the party and sign ups soon.
We hope you can join us!

Media Center Books
Mrs. Stayer has announced that all library books are due back to the media center by Friday, May 26. You can send any remaining books back to school any day this week and I will return them. Next week, I will be given a list of all books still checked out and contact those families.

1st Grade Concert
This is a gentle reminder that tomorrow, Wednesday, May 24 the first graders will be performing in their vocal music concert from 3-3:30 pm in Harlan's multipurpose room.
The children and Mrs. (music) Cooper have been working hard all year to prepare this show and are very excited to share it with their friends and families.

Plant Sale Visit tomorrow, Friday, May 12
Pur class will visit the Plant Sale tomorrow, Friday, May 12, at 10:30am. Your child will be able to purchase the following:
Butterfly plants (Limit 1)
Milkweek - $3.00
Parsley - $3.25
Assorted annual flowers - $0.50 each
Limited Quantities
Cucumbers - $1.00
Sunflowers - $2.50
Strawberries - $3.00

The annual Harlan Plant Sale is taking place tomorrow, May 12th, just in time for Mother's Day! For the next two days, all students will have an opportunity to browse the plants and make their purchases. Plant Sale
This is a gentle reminder that our class will be visiting the Annual Harlan Plant Sale this Friday, May 12 at 10:30am. Your child is welcome to purchase plants/flowers to come home that afternoon.
The theme this year is Butterflies and Flowers. The children may purchase:

This is a gentle reminder that pre-orders for the annual Harlan Plant Sale need to be returned to school this week. The office will be excepting these pre-orders through Wednesday morning.
