Annual Plant and Flower Sale

Our class will be visiting the Plant and Flower Sale tomorrow, Friday, May 1. Our timeslot is from 12:40 to 1:00 PM. If you would like your child to purchase any of the plants or flowers, please remember to send in money for them to use. If possible, please place the money in an envelope or bag marked "flower sale."

Field Trip Reminder

This is a gentle reminder that our permission slips and field trip dues should be returned to school by tomorrow, Friday, May 1.

If you have not already done so, please return these items in your child's red folder.

If you had volunteered to be a chaperone, we will draw names from all of the requests and notify chaperones by Friday afternoon.

We need YOUR help to celebrate Staff appreciation Week Monday, May 4  - Friday, May 8. We need 70 gift cards and currently only have 9.  Please drop a $5 restaurant, store, or coffee shop gift card off in the office before Friday, April 30.  Thank you for your help!

Plant Sale Note and Reminder

We are in great need of volunteers to help run the Plant Sale this Thursday and Friday (April 30th/May1st).  No problem, if you are not able to stay the whole time allotted.  We need lots of helping hands for this sale to run.  Please sign up here:

Also, don't forget to send money to school with your child if they are interested in purchasing plants (Thursday, April 30).  They will have the opportunity to shop for their Moms, Grandmas, Aunts, or even themselves at this FUN sale!

Popcorn Day - Tuesday, April 21

This is a gentle reminder that next Tuesday, April 21 will be Popcorn Day!  Each bag will cost $0.50.

Our New Principal for the Day!

Today we were visited by our Principal for the Day auction winner who happens to be the little sister of someone in our class!

We loved her announcement of an extra 10 minutes of recess as well as how she walked around and checked on all of the classrooms to make sure her school was running smoothly!

Here she is helping to run a group during our Writer's Workshop. She did an excellent job of offering suggestions, pointing out things we can change and listening to our reviews!

Great job, Ms. Principal!

RazKids Challenge

Our March RazKids Challenge has been completed!  I was so impressed by how many students were able to meet the goal of earning 750 stars this month!  An email has been sent to the families of the friends who met the challenge with information about our lunch reward after break!

For our April RazKids Challenge, we are increasing the amount to 2,000 stars!  I have recorded how many stars each of the children has earned as of April 1, and will calculate totals on April 30.

Also, please help to monitor your child's use on RazKids.  This online resource works best when used as an additional opportunity for your child to read to you at their level.  This will also show you if they are reading the books or simply listening to them.  Please also remind them that they should not be taking quizzes on books that they have not read yet.
