Beginning Sounds Graphing

Continuing with our love of graphing, today we graphed pictures by their beginning sounds! Each kindergartner had a graph and a bag of pictures. They each reached into the bag and took out a picture, and would then graph it's beginning sound on their paper!

Practicing our beginning sounds is a great activity to do at home or in the car! See how many things your kindergartner can name that start with a given letter. Point out things around you and ask them what they start with. If your kindergartner seems to really be getting the hang of this, ask them to tell you what sounds they hear at the end of words.
