Teacher's Go Bananas!

For March is Reading Month, the teachers of Harlan went bananas!  Each teacher dressed as a character from a children's book and read that book to different classes throughout the day.  Here I am dressed as a character from Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (copyright 2013 Birmingham Public Schools) and Mrs. Stayer as Ira from Ira Sleeps Over.

 



 

Each class also entered a door decorating contest.  We chose to decorate our door after reading Corduroy.  We called it, "Button up!  Reading is too cool!"  Each kindergartener decorated a button for Corduroy to borrow since he lost one of his!
