Have you seen our Gingerbread Man?

After reading many different versions of the Gingerbread Man, we decided to make our own and see if the magic is true!  Here we are measuring out and adding the ingredients before placing our gingerbread in the oven.

When we went back to check the oven after lunch, we discovered our Gingerbread man was gone!  He did leave us a clue. 

Using our knowledge of rhyming words, we were able to follow the clue and went to the media center.  We looked all over and in between books.

We finally found another clue at Mrs. Stayer's desk!

This led us to the music room...

Then the office.  Mrs. McCormick told us that she almost caught him, but all she got was his toe!

We then went to the gym...

and the lunch room...

before returning back to our room!  There we found gingerbread cookies and our families waiting for us!  What an amazing gingerbread hunt!  We never did find him, so be on the look out for our toe-less Gingerbread Man! 

PS - Mrs. McCormick said he tasted delicious!
