Exhibitions!

The first graders did a GREAT job with their exhibitions this last trimester!  I was so impressed with the presentation skills, the progress and meeting of goals and the wonderful visual aids!  Here are some pictures of their hard work!

Cheyanne learned about Madame C.J. Walker, who invented the hot comb.


Dominique learned about entertainment icon Oprah Winfrey.


Peyton learned about basketball player Michael Jordan.


Noah learned about (and interviewed!) the president of Children's Hospital, Dr. Herman Gray.


Kyle learned about inventor Garrett Morgan, who invented the traffic light.


Keveon learned about baseball player Jackie Robinson.


Nico learned about inventor George Washington Carver, who used peanuts in new ways.


Romeo learned about rappers Run DMC.


An'Niya learned about slavery abolitionist Sojourner Truth.


Malik learned about his relative, Sandy Love, who invented part of the vending machine.
