Paint is More Than Just Coloring!

Today, we practiced identifying the beginning sounds of a given word and then tracing that letter into a bag filled with paint!  This was a wonderful way to isolate sounds, strengthen our fine motor skills, switch between upper and lower case letters and practice our handwriting all-in-one!  We even played a fun game called "Thumbprints."  Each time we correctly identified and wrote a beginning sound, I would put a thumbprint on their bags.  At the end of the game, we counted how many prints we all had!
