Delayed Start - Wednesday, Feb. 4

I hope everyone is enjoying these extra few days off!  Ernie and I have been playing outside quite a bit this weekend.  And, of course, by playing I mean he gets to jump through snow hills and eat mouthfuls of snow (his favorite food!) while I do hours of shoveling :)

I wanted to pass on some information from the office, including a gentle reminder that even though we have been off the last two days, we will still have a delayed start to the school day tomorrow, Wednesday, February 4.  Please see the below note.

Have a great afternoon and try to stay warm!  I will see everyone tomorrow!

Dear Parents,

The show will go on! The 4th and 5th graders' performance of "Rock and Roll Forever" will go on as scheduled in the Harlan Multi-propose Room. Students should arrive by 6:45pm and report to their assigned riser seat. The show begins at 7:00. Can't wait to see you there!

Health Report

As you know, there has been one confirmed case of measles in Oakland County.  There has also been an increase in the number of pertussis  (whooping cough) cases in Michigan. You may have questions about measles and pertussis.  Your best source for answers to your questions is your family physician.  He or she is familiar with your child and can address your concerns with your child’s individual needs in mind.  I am attaching two fact sheets about measles and pertussis that you may find helpful.  At this time, we do not have any confirmed cases of either disease.  We will be monitoring the situation closely and I will advise you as new information becomes available.  Thank you!
