Girls Who Dream

This year, our school has started a new group known as the Girls Who Dream.  This is an after-school opportunity for the girls in our school to participate in activities that foster and encourage their hopes and dreams for the future.  In our class, Nia, Karima and Tonia are Girls Who Dream!

Girls Who Dream has teamed up with Soldiers’ Angels! Soldiers' Angels is a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing aid and comfort to the men and women of the United States Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and their families.

During the month of April, Girls Who Dream will be hosting a drive to collect items that will be used in the backpacks that are given to the soldiers when they depart. We will be collecting items such as: Baby Wipes, Beef Jerky, Tuna Packets, Pretzels, Chips, Crackers, Cookies, Hand Sanitizer, Travel Size bathroom items (Shaving Cream, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner and toothpaste), Toothbrushes and Razors, etc.

The class that collects the most items will be given a pizza party on Friday, May 4th.

If you can, let's help our Girls Who Dream help others!  You can donate and drop off items throughout the month in our classroom!  Thank you in advance for your help!
