10 and Some More...

We have been working really hard on our tricky teen numbers!  In addition to being able to recognize and write the numbers, we have been learning about what it means to be a teen number!  Here we are during math workshop as we used double ten frames to build teen numbers.  We learned that if we fill one ten frame and have some more dots left over, the teen number we are building must be 10 and some more.  For example, the number 11 is 10 and 1 more.
