Call for Collections

This letter was sent home earlier this week.  This is a gentle reminder for the collections to come to school on Monday, March 2.  Thank you to all of the families that have already sent their child's collection to school. 

Collections

As part of our upcoming Opinion Writing unit, we are asking that each student bring a small collection to school. We will use these collections as a hands-on way to learn to form opinions and develop supporting reasons.

The following are some guidelines for the collections:

·        A collection should be made up of 5 small items.

·        All 5 items should be able to fit in a shoe box.

·        Please label the shoebox (or storage container) with your child’s name.

·        Please send the collection to school with your child no later than Monday, March 2!

·        The collections will stay at school for a week or two, so please make sure it’s something your child can be without!

The collections can be anything that appeals to your child. Some ideas include:

·         My Little Ponies or other figurines                                 

·         Pokemon Cards or Football Cards or Baseball Cards

·         Nail polish

·         Coins

·         Anything your child truly loves and collects!
