First we added a gingerbread mix into our bowl…
Then we added a few eggs…
One of our eggs exploded when we tapped it a little too hard!
We then added some flour…
And water…
After everyone had a turn to stir our mixture, we poured it into our gingerbread man pan...
And placed him in the oven to bake!
We were so excited to eat him as dessert after lunch! But when we returned to the kitchen to take him out of the oven, we found a surprise waiting for us! The gingerbread man was not there! He did, however, leave a series of clues as to where we could find him.
Here we are following the clues around the school as we tried to catch our gingerbread man! We went to the music room, lunchroom, gym, media center and even the office! Mrs. McCormick, our school secretary, said that she saw him running in the hallway and tried to catch him. Unfortunately, all she was able to grab was his toe, which she popped in her mouth right in front of the kids!
We chased the gingerbread man through the whole school, but we never did catch him! He did leave us smaller gingerbread men to decorate as a present for trying so hard to find him!
