Grinch Day

Thursday, December 22nd is Grinch Day!

The students will be participating in Grinch themed activities throughout the day and may wear green to school. We will have a Grinch snack and watch the classic cartoon.

I am asking for parent volunteers during our Grinch Centers. Centers will start at 9:30 and last about an hour. I need parents to organize and help children complete the activities at each center.

Karima's Winter Exhibition

For her exhibition, Karima learned about dogs.  She taught us that puppies can be trained to do jobs when they are older, and that dogs can learn 100 words.  Excellent job, Karima!

Antoneyo's Winter Exhibition

Antoneyo learned about construction for his exhibition.  He taught us that houses sit on a foundation and that the frame and beams hold up the walls.  Great job, Antoneyo!

Ethan's Winter Exhibition

For his exhibition, Ethan learned about snakes.  He told us that snakes hunt for food like mice, that snakes don't blink, and that they come out of eggs like birds.  Great work, Ethan!

Tonia's Winter Exhibition

Tonia learned all about horses for her exhibition.  She taught us that a girl horse is called a mare and that people use to always get on their horses from the left side because that was the side they kept their sword on their belt.  Keep up the great work, Tonia!

Phillip's Winter Exhibition

Phillip taught us about firefighters!  We leanred that they put out fires in houses, forests and on boats, and that they use special tools to help put out fires.  Excellent work, Phillip!

Anthony's Winter Exhibtion

Anthony learned about football for his exhibition!  He told us that a football field can also be called a gridiron, as well as explained about all the different equipment that players wear to protect themselves.  Awesome presentation, Anthony!
